Title:
COOLING DEVICE FOR BEER BARREL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06323715
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To effectively cool draft beer by creating a convection current in a beer barrel having a heat-insulating construction with a cooling surface in part.

CONSTITUTION: Beer barrels are each horizontally loaded in a section on a rack 11 through a front opening. A container main body 1 is pushed into the section with a cooling surface on the bottom of the main body 1 toward a rear plate 14 in the section, a lower end flange of an external drum is connected to a seal 17, so that a lower space of the external drum including the cooling surface is sealed. When only dampers 20 in an air supply duct 13a leading to the sections where the beer barrels are to be loaded are opened and a cold-air generator 12 is started to generate cold-air, the cold-air generated flows into the selected sections through the air supply duct 13a and fills the lower spaces of the container main bodies 1. Further, the cold-air is returned to the cold-air generator 12 through a return duct 13b to cool it again and sent to the air supply ducts 13a, thus the cold-air is circulated repeatedly. The single-walled cooling surface of the container main body 1 is exposed to the cold-air supplied to the lower space of the container main body 1 and forcibly cooled. Thereby, draft beer is effectively cooled.
