Abstract:

To provide a cooling device for a driving motor of a textile machine to enable stable operation of the machine while protecting the driving motor.

The textile machine is provided with a driving motor Mn, a driving motor temperature detector Ts to detect the temperature of the driving motor and a driving motor controlling part Mc to stop the driving motor when the temperature T of the driving motor detected by the detector Ts exceeds a preset critical temperature T0 for stopping the driving motor. In the above textile machine, the device for cooling the driving motor is provided with a cooling fan 10 to cool the driving motor with air flow, a filter 20 to protect the fan motor from dust, an air nozzle 30 to remove the dust attached to the filter with compressed air supplied from a compressed air source and an air nozzle controller Nc to supply compressed air to the air nozzle when the temperature of the driving motor exceeds a filter cleaning temperature T2 set to a level lower than the driving motor stopping temperature T0.
