To provide a cooling device of an engine that can prevent super-cooling of a combustion chamber during warming up.
In the cooling device of the engine that has cooling water passages for a cylinder head arranged in the cylinder head 10 of the engine, the cooling water passages for the cylinder head consists of a first water passage 11 for cooling the combustion chamber of the engine, and a second water passage 12 formed separately from the first passage 11 and arranged around an intake port of the cylinder head. The first water passage 11 and the second water passage 12 have a common cooling water inlet and are branched from it. The outlet side of the first water passage 11 is connected with a thermostat 60 that opens valves when the cooling water temperature becomes over a specified value.
