Abstract:

To provide a cooling device and cooling method for falling a center temperature and moisture content of a high temperature reduced iron agglomerated product discharged from a reduced iron manufacturing facility for manufacturing the reduced iron agglomerated product by reducing an iron oxide agglomerated product in an appropriate range.

The cooling device and cooling method of the reduced iron agglomerated product is characterized by that a conveyer for conveying the high temperature reduced iron agglomerated product is arranged on a discharge port of the reduced iron manufacturing facility, a spray nozzle for spreading cooling water to the reduced iron agglomerated product on the conveyer, and a side surface part of the conveyer is made tall so as to accumulate the cooling water in a layer of 1-10 mm depth on the conveyer.
