Abstract:
To provide a cooling device capable of enhancing cooling efficiency of an object to be cooled, and to provide a projector.SOLUTION: A cooling device includes an evaporation part, a condensation part, an evaporation pipe and a liquid pipe. The evaporation part includes: a housing which is connected to the liquid pipe and in which a liquid-phase working fluid flows; a wick which is provided in the housing, in which the liquid-phase working fluid is impregnated, and which transports the liquid-phase working fluid; a reservoir provided in the housing, and for storing the liquid-phase working fluid which has flowed in the housing; and a groove provided in the housing. The groove includes a plurality of flow passages where the working fluid which has changed into a gaseous phase from the liquid phase flows, and a connection surface to be connected to the wick. The wick includes: a first layer constituted by a plurality of first metal bodies in which an average outer diameter is a first dimension being joined, and including a gap; and a second layer constituted by a plurality of second metal bodies in which an average outer diameter is a second dimension larger than the first dimension being joined, and including a gap. The second layer includes a contact part substantially in parallel with the connection surface, and coming into contact with the contact surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
