Abstract:
To easily set an optimal operation condition of each of freezers when cooling a liquefied coolant stored in a heat storage tank by multiple freezers.SOLUTION: A cooling device for a superconducting cable comprises: a heat storage tank for storing a first coolant in a liquefied state; multiple freezing units provided within the heat storage unit and including a first heat exchanger capable of cooling the first coolant by a second coolant, the freezing units using the second coolant of which the liquefaction temperature is lower than the first coolant; a second heat exchanger provided inside of the heat storage tank; a third coolant circulation line connected to the second heat exchanger and the superconducting cable for circulating a third coolant; temperature sensors provided in outlet parts of the second heat exchanger and the first heat exchanger for detecting a temperature of the second coolant; and a control part to which detection values of the temperature sensors are inputted, for controlling each of the multiple freezing units in such a manner that the detection value of the temperature sensor becomes a target value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
