The cooling device comprises a water absorber capable of absorbing and evaporating a liquid, the winding means for winding the water absorber, and a water supplying means, in which a matter to be cooled is covered with the water absorber, and a liquid supplied from the water supplying means is evaporated from the water absorber to cause the cooling effect by the release of the evaporation heat. The water supplying means comprises the vessel for storing the liquid, and a pump and a pipe for feeding the liquid to the water absorber, so that the liquid in the vessel can be supplied to the water absorber through the pipe by the pump.
