To prevent abnormal rise of a high pressure-side pressure caused by clogging of capillary tubes in a cooling device using the capillary tubes as an expanding mechanism.
The cooling device in which the plurality of capillary tubes as the expanding mechanism are arranged in parallel with each other, and valve devices for controlling the circulation of a refrigerant to each of the capillary tubes are respectively disposed in passages upstream of the capillary tubes, further includes a temperature detecting means for detecting the temperature of the refrigerant passing through an evaporator, and a control means for selectively opening the plurality of valve devices and switching the valve devices on the basis of a temperature detected by a temperature detecting means. The control means closes the opened valve device, and opens the other valve device, when it is determined that the temperature detected by the temperature detecting means is lower than a set value.
