To provide an inexpensive and flexible adsorption cooling element and its manufacturing method.
In the cooling element with an adsorbent, the adsorbent can adsorb a vapor operating agent evaporated in an evaporation region 16 from the amount of a liquid operating agent in a vacuum, and a blocking device for preventing the operating agent vapor from flowing to the adsorbent until a cooling process is started is provided. The adsorbent and the evaporation region 16 are surrounded by a multilayer sheet. The evaporation region 16 has a fleece 5 and a flexible structure material both of which have flat flexible shapes pressed together against a container 14 to be cooled in a vacuum. The structure material can guide the operating agent vapor to the adsorbent after the start of the cooling element, and is maintained to open at least 1 cm2 of a flow cross section for the operating agent vapor.
