To provide a cooling fan for an electric tool and an electric tool equipped with a cooling fan, in which a shape of reinforcement ribs is optimized and a flow velocity generated by the reinforcement ribs is set to be slower than a flow velocity generated by blades, so that occurrence of noise is suppressed while ensuring strength of hubs and a main plate.
The cooling fan 20 comprises: the main plate 22 in a shape of a disc; a fan main body 2 having the hubs 23 disposed integrally with a base portion of the main plate to extend in a rotation shaft center direction; the blades 25 project from one face side of the main plate and circumferentially arranged with predetermined pitches; and ribs 26 projecting from the other face side of the main plate and extending outward in a radial direction from the hubs to reinforce the blades and the main plate. The main plate is in a shape inclined with respect to a shaft center so that an outer edge of the main plate is positioned to be closer to a side opposite to the blades than the base portion. A projecting end of each rib becomes closer to a blade side as the projecting end becomes closer to the outside in the radial direction of the rib, and length in the radial direction of the ribs is reduced to suppress increase in velocity of air flow generated by the ribs and flowing toward the outside in the radial direction.
