To provide a fan motor which has simple structure, feeds high output, and is suitable for efficiently cooling small-sized electronic components.
The fan motor is provided with a magnet formed into a cylindrical shape. At least the circumferential surface of the magnet is split in the circumferential direction, and the split portions are magnetized alternately by different poles. The magnet is rotatable on the center of rotation. Coils are placed in the axial direction of the magnet. The fan motor is provided with an outer magnetic pole portion, which is excited by the coils and faces the circumferential surface of the magnet; an inner magnetic pole portion which is excited by the coils, faces the inner circumferential surface of the magnet, and formed in hollow columnar shape; and a fan placed in the inner radius portion of the magnet, integrally with the magnet.
