Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a cooling medium, consisting of a salt of a polyvalent metal, having ≥2 valence and capable of exhibiting a lower valence than that and sodium hydrogensulfite.
CONSTITUTION: A cooling medium obtained by blending (A) a salt of a polyvalent metal, having at least ≥2 valence and capable of exhibiting a lower valence than that, e.g. ferric chloride, ferric sulfate, etc., with (B) sodium hydrogensulfite capable of reducing the component (A) in the presence of water to form a metallic salt having a reduced valence.
