Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a large cooling capacity and to improve productivity by providing spray nozzles with specific angles in a rolling pass direction and blowing a cooling medium to work rolls and a strip.
CONSTITUTION: The spray nozzles 14a, 14b of roll coolant heads 6a, 6b are mounted respectively to have ≥45° angle in the rolling pass direction. The spray nozzles 15a, 15b of stripper coolant headers 7a, 7b are mounted respectively to have 60° angle in the rolling pass direction. The oil stagnation and stuck oil of the cooling medium are decreased by the force flow of the cooling medium and the large cooling capacity is obtd.
