Title:
COOLING METHOD OF SLAG, AND SLAG GENERATION FACILITY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3859556
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure sufficient compression strength for quick cooling and improved productivity.
SOLUTION: Constituents are adjusted or a plasma type melting furnace for melting on a base metal is used to set the concentration of Fe2O3 in molten slug to 20-70 wt.%. The molten slug MS is introduced between a pair of rolls 2A, 2B for cooling for forming flatly or cooling. The molten slug MS at 1,200 to 900°C is cooled to 800°C by spending at least 1 minute or more, and the degree of crystallization of a leaf slug CS is set to 10% or more.
