PURPOSE: To provide a cooling prevention tool of a blank for forging capable of preventing the cooling of the blank by taking-out from a heating furnace to carrying to a forging machine as less as possible.

CONSTITUTION: This cooling prevention tool is provided with holding parts 2 for holding the blank for forging and a blank cover 5 having two-divided structures in right and left sides and arranged so as to surround the blank while opening the gap S between this cover and the blank. Further, the cover half-bodies 5a, 5b constituting the blank cover are connected to the holding parts, respectively, and a reflecting surface 7 is arranged in the inner surface of the blank cover, and by this reflecting surface, heat loss caused by radiation from the blank for forging is restrained.
