Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve uniformity of temperature distribution while relatively simplifying a configuration and relatively reducing the cost.SOLUTION: Cooling water that is supplied from a supply part 69 becomes a horizontal eddy current while being reflected on an inner wall of a roller body 59 and is drained from a drain part 71. Therefore, since the cooling water is not mainly distributed through a central part in a flow passage of the roller body 59 but is distributed while being reflected on the inner wall positioned outside and passing a center of the flow passage, the cooling water is stirred in the flow passage of the roller body 59 and the roller body 59 is forcedly cooled. Thus, since efficiency of heat exchange, especially, efficiency in the central part is improved without generating a boundary layer between the cooling water that is distributed in the flow passage of the roller body 59 and consecutive paper WP abutted to the roller body 59, a temperature difference between the roller body 59 closer to the supply part 69 and the central part can be reduced. As a result, uniformity of temperature distribution in a medium can be improved relatively at low cost without using a complicated configuration such as a heat pipe.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
