Title:
COOLING STRUCTURE OF FUEL INJECTION VALVE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004270529
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a cooling structure 4 of a fuel injection valve 3, which positively allows heat of a nozzle portion 3B of the fuel injection valve 3 to escape to a low temperature portion 9 of a cylinder head 1 and which can prevent generation of deposits in a nozzle 7 of the fuel injection valve 3.

The cooling structure 4 of the fuel injection valve 3 aims at performing heat conduction through a thermal conduction member 8 between a high temperature portion (nozzle portion 3B) of the fuel injection valve 3 and the low temperature portion 9 of the cylinder head 1. The fuel injection valve is installed in a valve mounting hole 2 of the cylinder head 1 through a seal member 6 and injects fuel into a combustion chamber 5. The structure is characterized in that the thermal conduction member 8, which can perform heat conduction between the nozzle portion 3B of the fuel injection valve 3 and the low temperature portion 9 of the cylinder head 1, is provided on an outer periphery of the fuel injection valve 3.
