Title:
COOLING STRUCTURE FOR HIGH-VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL COMPONENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2009119890
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To cool high-voltage electrical components such as a battery unit and an inverter of a vehicle while neither affecting the temperature of a cabin, nor being affected by the temperature of the cabin.

A fan 42 and an evaporator 41 for cooling the high-voltage electrical components are arranged in a sealed center console box 12 enclosing the battery unit 13, the inverter 14 and a DC-DC converter 16 mounted in the vehicle. A cooling air circulating circuit in which cooling air generated by the fan 42, cools the high-voltage electrical components 13, 14, 16 after passing through an evaporator 41 for cooling the high-voltage components, and returns to the fan 42, is formed in the center console box 12. The high-voltage electrical components 13, 14, 16 are thereby effectively cooled with optional temperature setting without being affected by temperature in the cabin and an outside air temperature, and exhaust air raised in temperature after cooling the high-voltage electrical components 13, 14, 16 does not affect the temperature in the cabin.
