Abstract:

To provide a cooling structure of an internal combustion engine capable of suppressing the temperature difference between a cylinder nearest a coolant inlet and a cylinder farthest from the coolant inlet.

Coolant is led into a water jacket 13 through the coolant inlet 14 at one end of a cylinder block 10 in the cylinder bank direction, distributed to the suction side water path X2 and the discharge side water path X1 of the water jacket 13, and supplied from the cylinder block 10 side to the cylinder head 20 side. The suction side water path X2 is partitioned into a lower water path X21 to which the coolant from the coolant inlet 14 is supplied and an upper water channel X22 through which the coolant flows to the cylinder head 20 side by a vertical partition member 32. The lower water channel X21 communicates with the discharge side water channel X1 at the other end of the cylinder block in the cylinder bank direction, and the lower water channel X21 and the upper water channel X22 communicate with each other through restriction parts 35 formed in the first partition member 32.
