To provide a cooling structure of a projection picture tube which can be easily manufactured with working cost saved.

A container is formed on the surface of a panel of the projection picture tube for containing liquid coolant for cooling the panel surface, consisting of the panel surface, a lens opposing to it, and a metal body radiating heat. A first seal member exists between the metal body and the panel surface, and a second seal member exists between the metal body and the lens. A press member for pressing the lens toward the direction of the metal body exists on the periphery of the lens. A pad is formed with its face almost in right angle with the picture tube axis is formed at the funnel part. A support member for supporting the container is in contact with the pad, and the container is sealed by calking the pressing member and the support member with a coupling member and applying pressure on the first seal member and the second seal member. The coupling member does not get coupled with the metal member.
