To prevent a refrigerant from being lacked beforehand by informing the remaining amount of the refrigerant used to cool a superconducting motor to a driver.

A cooling system in a superconducting motor vehicle includes the superconducting motor 30, a tank 20 which stores the refrigerant for cooling the superconducting motor 30, and a refrigerant remaining quantity measuring means 22 of the refrigerant carried in the tank 20. The remaining quality of the cooling medium in the tank 20 is measured by the refrigerant remaining quantity measuring means 22, and the remaining quantity of the refrigerant is informed to the driver. Also, when the remaining quantity of the refrigerant becomes a predetermined quantity or less, the driver is warned by a voice or/and a display, and a cooler 27 for backup is operated to cool the superconducting motor by the cooler.
