To provide a cooling system for an internal combustion engine for a vehicle capable of securing sufficient heat accumulating performance of a heat accumulator without deteriorating air conditioning functions of a heater core.
This cooling system is provided with a cooling water circuit 3a to circulate cooling water of an engine 1 through a radiator 5, a warm water circuit 3c to circulate warm water through the heater core 11, an air mix door 12 to adjust air quantity passing through the heater core, the heat accumulator 6 provided on a bypass passage 6 to distribute warm water to the heater core, a passage changing valve 9 to adjust distribution of warm water to the a heat accumulator and the hater core, and a control means 14 to control actuation to the air mix door and the passage changing valve. The control means controls the passage changing valve to send more warm water flow to the heater core than to the heat accumulator when air quantity passing through the heater core is a prescribed value or more.
