Title:
COOLING SYSTEM FOR VEHICULAR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1077842
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To sufficiently cool both transmission oil and engine oil even when the load of an engine becomes high by making cooling water, flowing out of a radiator, flow into an oil changer.

When the load of an engine 1 exceeds the specified value, cooling water cooled by a radiator 2 is made flow into an A/T heat exchanger 11 and an E/O heat exchanger 12. Transmission oil and engine oil can thereby be cooled sufficiently by both heat exchangers 11, 12. As a result, lubricating failure can be prevented, so that friction loss at the sliding parts of an engine and a transmission is prevented to improve fuel consumption. Since cooling water cooled by the radiator 2 is partially diverged and used to cool both oil, the cooling quantity of the engine 1 is reduced, but the flow quantity to flow to an oil cooling waterway 103 is a small quantity, so that influence on the engine 1 can be almost disregarded.
