Title:
COOLING TOWER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000274967
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To reduce manufacturing cost by dividing a coil into a plurality of sections, interconnecting the heating tubes of respective divided coils in series and arranging the divided coils not to be overlapped in the direction of air flow thereby enhancing the cooling efficiency and increasing the cooling capacity with small number of coil arrays.

Water from a refrigerator enters into one of headers 5, 5 and exits from the other while passing through inside of a heating tubes 3 and heat is exchanged between the air passing through the coil and water through the heating tubes 3 and a fin group 4. The water passes only through a first divided coil 2 before passing through a second divided coil 2 and since the divided coils 2, 2 are arranged not to overlap in the direction of air flow A, the water air-cooled by the first divided coil 2 can be further air-cooled by the second divided coil 2 at the inlet air temperature same as that of the first divided coil 2 and the cooling efficiency is enhanced as compared with a case where the coil is not divided.
