Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling tower capable of improving utilization efficiency by reducing the down time of the cooling tower even when a large amount of deposit substance is generated on the front surface of a plate.SOLUTION: A cooling tower comprises: a cooling fan 1 installed at the tower apex; an upper water tank 2 installed in the tower upper part; a lower water tank 3 installed in the tower lower part; fillers 5a, 5b, 6a, and 6b that are disposed in a tower interior space 4 provided between the upper water tank and the lower water tank; and eliminators 7 and 8 installed in the tower interior space so as to oppose the fillers. The eliminators include: unit bodies 16A to 16J that accommodate a plurality of plates 17 with apertures provided in a plate thickness direction; and a support frame 16 on which the unit bodies are juxtaposed so that air passed through the fillers flows in the apertures and which detachably supports any of a plurality of the unit bodies.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
