Title:
COOLING TOWER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3201650
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To facilitate maintenance and to reduce the size and the cost of a cooling tower by providing a water turbine which receives water to be cooled and to be injected from a nozzle by an impeller and agitating blades for agitating the water to be cooled to receive the air from the exterior of a body on a rotary shaft.
CONSTITUTION: In order to rotate a water turbine 22 by utilizing a collision force of water to be cooled and to be injected from a nozzle 20 provided in the uppermost room in a cooling tower body 4 to an impeller 23, agitating blades 24a, 24b provided except the uppermost room cooperated with the turbine 22 are integrally rotated with the turbine 22, and the water to be cooled is forcibly agitated to be sprayed. Further, since the blades 24a, 24b have means for receiving the air by rotation, it takes in the air from the outside of the body 4, and the water to be cooled in a spray state is brought into contact with the air. Thus, the turbine 22 is rotated by utilizing injecting energy of the water to be cooled from the nozzle 20, the blades 24a, 24b are simultaneously rotated to be sprayed, into contact with the introduced air to be cooled with evaporation heat of the water to be cooled.
