Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a cooling water passage piping structure of an outboard motor in which a high riser is fitted to the upper surface of an exhaust guide, by which overheat of an engine can be prevented, and at the time of restart, overheat of the high riser can be prevented.
CONSTITUTION: In an outboard motor where a high riser 30 formed by bending like an inverted U-shape outside an engine 9 is fitted to the upper surface of an exhaust guide 11 located between a top cowl 6 and an upper case 7, cooling water pumped up by a cooling water pump 17 is forced to diverge and be supplied to the engine 9 and the high riser 30, and a cooling water outlet of a cooling water jacket 30e provided on the high riser 30 is allowed to communicate with a cooling water jacket 9c provided on the engine 9.
