Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent flying of hot water from an air intake to the outside.
SOLUTION: Formation of a cooling tower 11 is formed in such a manner that a hot water tank 2 is arranged at the upper part of a casing and air intakes 3 in the side of the casing, hot water is sprayed over a filler 4 in the casing through a spray nozzle arranged at the lower part of the hot water tank 2, and hot water is cooled by bringing air, introduced through an air intake 3, into direct contact with hot water flowing down along the surface of the filler 4. In the cooling tower 11, a hot water flying prevention member 16 is arranged in such a manner to cover the surface on the air intake 3 side of the spray nozzle 15, positioned adjacent to the air intake 3, of the spray nozzles.
