Title:
COORDINATE INPUT DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0447421
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To facilitate the alignment by one piece of coordinate input device by inputting coordinate information in the X axis direction and the Y axis direction, executing a parallel movement of image information, and subsequently, executing a rotational movement of the image information.

CONSTITUTION: In a regular state, a cursor is moved by turning an exposed part of a sphere 2 with a hand. As a result, a variation in the X axis and the Y axis directions is inputted as coordinate information by an X coordinate input processing means 3 and a Y coordinate input processing means 4, and a formative image is subjected to parallel movement stepwise onto an original image in a display means 9 through a central control part 8. Subsequently, the cursor is rotated by turning the sphere 2, while depressing it downward. As a result, a variation of a rotary coordinate input processing means 6 is inputted as coordinate information, the formative image is subjected to rotational movement onto the original image in the means 9 through the control part 8 and the alignment is executed. In such a way, by executing the parallel movement and the rotational movement by a track ball, the alignment if facilitated and the operability is improved.
