Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a copolyester film which is used for sticking to a retortable can for food and drink and which neither pollutes a filled drink nor impairs the taste of a drink after retorting.

CONSTITUTION: This film is formed from a copolyester which consists of an acid component comprising terephthalic acid or composed mainly thereof and a diol aomponent composed mainly of 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol and ethylene glycol at a molar ratio of (60:40) to (90:10) and which has an intrinsic viscosity of at least 0.5 and a melting point of at least 180°C.
