Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a copolymer which retains processability for a long term and can give a high-strength cured product, which copolymer comprises unsaturated mono- or di-carboxylic acid derivative units having a specified structure, oxyalkylene glycol alkenyl ether units, and polysiloxane compound units, and like units in a specified ratio.
SOLUTION: This copolymer comprises 51-95 mol% unsaturated mono- or di-carboxylic acid derivative units represented by e.g. formula I, 1-48.9 mol% oxyalkylene glycol alkenyl ether units represented by formula II, 0.1-5 wt.% silozane compound units represented by e.g. formula III, and 0-47.9 mol% unsaturated dicarboxylic acid derivative units represented by e.g. formula IV and has an average molecular weight of 1,000-100,000 g/mol. In the formulae, R1, R2 and R7 are each hydrogen of a 1-20C aliphatic hydrocarbon group; R3 is hydrogen or a 1-15C aliphatic hydrocarbon group; R4 is hydrogen or methyl; X is OaM or the like; a is 1/2 or 1; M is hydrogen, a metal cation or the like; S is COOMa or the like; T=-W-R7; W is a polydimethylsilozane group; n is 0-200; m is 2-4; and so forth.
