To provide a copolymer latex composition which excels in flowability (viscosity) and the like and comes to a raw material of a paper coating composition capable of forming a coating layer excellent in printability and the like.
The copolymer latex composition comprises a polymer (i) obtained by polymerizing a first monomer component comprising 50-100 mass% amide group-containing ethylenically unsaturated monomer (a) and a copolymer (ii) obtained by emulsion polymerization of 100 pts.mass second monomer component comprising 30-70 mass% aliphatic conjugated diene monomer (b), 5-40 mass% vinyl cyanide monomer (c), and 0.1-10 mass% ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer (d) in the presence of 0.1-5 pts.mass of the above polymer (i) and has a value of the measured number average particle diameter of 50-120 nm.
