Abstract:
To provide a graft copolymer having sidechains including a polymer capable of exhibiting a lower critical solution temperature (LCST), and to provide a manufacturing method thereof, a rubber composition, and a tire.
The copolymer includes: a polymeric backbone chain derived from a monomer containing at least one conjugated diene monomer and optionally at least one vinyl aromatic monomer; and polymeric sidechains bonded to the backbone chain, the sidechains containing a polymer capable of exhibiting a lower critical solution temperature (LCST). There is provided a method for manufacturing the copolymer. There are also provided a rubber composition, and a pneumatic tire having a tread containing the copolymer.
