Title:
COPPER ALLOY FOR ELECTRICAL CONNECTING TOOL HAVING EXCELLENT MIGRATION RESISTANCE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01222031
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the title copper alloy by specifying the compsn. consisting of Fe, Ti, Sn, Mg, Zn and Cu and the ratio of Fe/Ti.

CONSTITUTION: The copper alloy for an electrical connecting tool having excellent migration resistance contains, by weight, 0.1W1.4% Fe, 0.05W0.5% Ti, 0.5W2% Sn, 0.005W0.5% Mg and 1W10% Zn, having 1.4W2.8% wt. ratio of Fe/Ti and the balance consisting substantially of Cu. The alloy combines various characteristics of high strength, high electric conductivity, high softening resistance, excellent stress relaxation resistance, corrosion resistance which are required as an electrical connecting tool. In this way, the copper alloy can sufficiently be applied to various electrical connecting tools.
