Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a Cu alloy for a radiator with superior corrosion resistance to water contg. inorg. salts by adding specified amounts of Zn, P, Sn and Al to Cu.
CONSTITUTION: This Cu alloy contains, by weight, 25W40% Zn, 0.005W0.070% P, 0.05W1.0% Sn and 0.05W1.0% Al. It shows superior resistance to corrosion due to a cooling medium when used as the material of a radiator for a car, so the life of the radiator is considerably prolonged.
