Title:
COPPER ALLOY FOR SLIDING AND ELECTRIFICATION EXCELLENT IN HEAT RESISTANCE AND WEAR RESISTANCE AND ITS PRODUCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0331437
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the copper alloy by adding specific amounts of one or more elements among Zr, Ag, Cr, etc., to copper and also specifying the grain size and grain spacing of precipitates from the supersaturated solid solutions of the above additive elements.

CONSTITUTION: An ingot having a composition in which 0.05-7wt.% of one or more elements among Zr, Ag, Cr, Fe, Si, Al, B, Ca, Co, In, Mg, Mn, Ni, P, Pb, Sb, Sn, Te, Ti, and Zn are added to Cu is prepared. The above ingot is held at 800-970°C for ≥30min and cooled rapidly to undergo solution treatment, and working strain is applied to the above alloy by means of hot and/or cold working, and then, the alloy is held at 300-650°C for ≥30min to undergo ageing treatment. By this method, the copper alloy for sliding and electrification in which the grain size and grain spacing of the precipitates are regulated to ≤1000 and 10-100, respectively, and which has superior heat resistance and wear resistance can be obtained.
