Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copper or copper alloy stripe for a vapor chamber in which a high connection strength can be attained after connection work and a warp after etching can be restricted when an upper plate member and a lower plate member are connected through dispersion connection or brazing to manufacture a casing under application of a copper or copper alloy stripe as raw material for the casing for the vapor chamber [a flat plate-like heat pipe].SOLUTION: When an upper member 2 and a lower member 3 of a vapor chamber are connected, a maximum height roughness Rz at a surface of copper or copper alloy stripe is 1.5 μm or less, an arithmetic average roughness Ra is 0.15 μm or less and a residual stress is 50 MPa or less. It is preferable that L warp amount is 30 mm or less per 500 mm of a rolled direction length and C warp amount is 2/100 or less with a ratio d/w between [d] of a warp amount and [w] of a coil width.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
