Title:
COPPER WIRE AND ITS PRODUCTION METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3858861
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of disconnection in cold wire drawing, and to eliminate deterioration in mechanical properties caused by storing after wire drawing and annealing for an extra fine wire.
SOLUTION: Tough pitch copper having an oxygen content of 200 to 400 ppm and a copper purity in a 3N class is used as a base metal. As additional element metal, tin or indium or both of them are incorporated by 5 to <200 ppm into the base metal to form into a copper material for wire drawing. The copper material is wire-drawn and is thereafter annealed. The wire drawing and annealing are performed for several times to form into the copper wire.
