To provide a digital broadcast receiver capable of executing a function with a higher added value.SOLUTION: There is provided a broadcast receiving device capable of receiving video data of a digital broadcast program, and program-linked data and screen layout control information related to the digital broadcast program. The broadcast receiving device includes: a receiving part receiving the video data of the digital broadcast program, the program-linked data and the screen layout control information; a video generating part which divides a video display area of a video to be output into a plurality of areas based on the screen layout control information, arranges, in each of the plurality of areas, program video information generated based on the received video data of the digital broadcast program and either character information, graphic information or video information generated based on the received program-linked data, and can generate, as output video information, video information obtained by synthesizing the plurality of areas; a display part displaying the output video information; and a control part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7A
