PURPOSE: To provide a copying device having a decoloring function capable of performing both a copying process and the reproduction of a transfer paper by the decoloring of a toner image to be decolored with the same device.
CONSTITUTION: A decoloring processing part 17 processing the decoloring of the toner image to be decolored with the irradiation of light is provided in adjacent to an original illuminating/scanning part 10, the operational mode of the copying device can be changed between a copying mode and decoloring processing mode, and when the decoloring processing mode in selected, a carrying path toward the side of the decoloring processing part 17 is selected by a carrying path changeover means 159, so that the copying process is stopped and simultaneously, a decoloring part processing part 18 is operated to execute the decoloring.
