PURPOSE: To register copying material to the original placed on an automatic original feeder at one-side reference so that it may be conveyed with the center reference by moving a lens in the direction rectangular to the optical axis direction thereby moving the imaging position.
CONSTITUTION: For a large-size original 681 abutted to an original reference position determining member 67, a lens 111 is disposed at the center and the large-size copying paper 691 corresponding to this is sent in the 1st reference position 711. For the small-size original 682 abutted to an original reference 67, the lens 111 is moved by Δy in the direction rectangular to the optical axis direction to the position 112 and the small-size copying paper 692 is conveyed in the 2nd reference position 712. Hence, by detecting the size of the copying paper and moving the lens in the position corresponding to this, the copying paper may be conveyed always at the center reference with respect to the original placed at the one side reference on the original platen.
