Abstract:
PURPOSE: To surely regulate a document fed by a carrying belt by means of a scale and to set it at an exposed position by making the contact state between the scale and the carrying belt constant regardless of the assembling accuracy of an automatic document feeder.
CONSTITUTION: As for this copying machine constituted of a copying machine main body and the automatic document feeder 60; the decument feeder 60 is provided with the carrying belt 95 carrying the document to the exposed position SP on the document platen glass 29, a frame supporting the carrying belt 95, and a regulating means keeping the frame parallel with the glass 29. The copying machine main body is provided with the scale 120 arranged at the exposure reference end of the glass 29 so that it can be projected above the glass 29, and an energizing means always energizing the scale 120 in a projecting direction, making the scale 120 abut on the frame and bringing it into contact with the carrying belt 95.
