PURPOSE: To dispense with a paper discharger or the like as well as to miniaturize a device as a whole, by installing a partition plate which partition off an exposed original from an unexposed original in a paper feed cassette top and bottom in this paper feed cassette.
CONSTITUTION: The number of desired sheets to be copied out of one sheet original is inputted into a preset counter 26. The counter 26 aand a switch 53 are being connected to an arithmetic and control circuit 27, form which each operation signal is transmitted to both clutches CL1 and CL2. A conveyor belt 19 is connected to a driver 28 via the clutch CL1 and a paper feed roller 31 via the clutch CL2, respectively. These clutches CL1 and CL2 operate as much as the number of sheets of a sheel original S being housed in a paper feed cassette 15, and simultaneously with this, a fact that the sheet original S runs out beneath a partition plate 43 is detected by the switch 53, thereby making the arithmetic and control circuit 27 operate a solenoid 52, and the partition plate 43 is retracted from the paper feed cassette 15.
