PURPOSE: To easily make saddle stitches by taking copies so that page positions of originals are in correspondence relation on forms for saddle stitch book binding.
CONSTITUTION: When the total page number of originals D which is determined by the combination of the originals D and forms P during saddle stitch book binding is denoted as N, the necessary number I of forms P is N/4≤I<(N/4)+1, where N and I are positive integers. Then when O<i≤I holds for an integer (i), the page arrangement of the (i)th forms P, i.e. form (i) is as follows. I ) when lateral writing originals are copied, a page 2i-1 is copied at one side of one form (i) as shown in a figure and a page 2i is copied on its reverse; and 4I-2i+ 2 is copied at the other side of the form (i) and 4I-2i+1 is copied on its reverse. II) when longitudinal writing originals are copied, a page 4I-2i+2 is copied at one side of one form (i) and a page 4I-2i+1 is copied on its reverse; and 2i-1 is copied at the other side of the form (i) and 2i is copied on its reverse.
