PURPOSE: To improve the operability for copying recording and to prevent malfunction, by setting the 1st mechanism to a reproduction or reproduction pause state and the 2nd mechanism to a recording or recording pause state.

CONSTITUTION: When the 1st mechanism is set to a reproducing or reproducing pause state and the 2nd mechanism is to recording or recording pause state, switches 1 and 2 are in on-state. Since a transistor 3 is conductive, a control transistor 13 is non-conductive. Thus, an input signal from an external input terminal 6 is shortened and not outputted on an output line 4, an output signal only of a reproducing amplifier 8 is introduced on the output line 4 and introduced to a recording amplifier 10. Thus, the care for the mis-operation for copying recording can be avoided and the operability can be increased.
