Title:
CORD FOR VACUUM CLEANER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0594719
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a vacuum cleaner and the like of a small size and light weight by reducing an outer diameter and weight of a power source cord so as to secure a taking-up characteristic of the cord, and miniaturizing a cord taking-up device.

CONSTITUTION: A conductor 5 of a cord 4 is formed into a semicircular cross section. Two insulated wires 7 each covered with an insulator 6 are joined at the flat surfaces 10 thereof, to be covered with a sheath 8. Since no clearance is formed in the cross section of the cord 4, an outer diameter of the cord having the same cross-sectional area of a core wire as that of a conventional wire can become minimum. Consequently, it is possible to realize a small size and light weight of electric equipment such as a vacuum cleaner because the reduced outer diameter of cord can miniaturize a cord taking-up device.
