PURPOSE: To provide the cordless telephone equipment which prevents a speaking state from getting adverse even when a master set starts speaking with another slave set while charging one slave set.

CONSTITUTION: When a slave set A is put on the charging stand of the master set, the master set 1 detects the charging start of the slave set A, converts data showing the start to an optical signal 30 and transmits it to the slave set A. The slave set A receiving this optical signal 30 analyzes the optical signal 30 by using a optical data analysis part 16, turns off a receiver switch 21 by controlling a radio control part 17 and sets the receiver of a radio unit 22 to an OFF state. When the waster set starts speaking with the other slave set in such a state, the master set converts the state display data of this system to an optical signal 31 and transmits it to the slave set, and the slave set A receiving this optical signal 31 analyzes the optical signal 31 by using the optical data analysis part 16, controls a state display control part 18 and displays the state of the system at a state display part 4.
