PURPOSE: To eliminate direct connection between the telephone set main body and a subscriber line by providing a subscriber line adaptor, a power supply means and a transmitter-receiver connecting to the telephone set main body by a radio wave to the cordless telephone set.

CONSTITUTION: The cordless telephone set consists of a subscriber adaptor 101, a telephone set main body 109, a transmitter-receiver 121, and the subscriber line adaptor 101 is provided with a subscriber line connector (CON) 103 connecting to a subscriber line 102. Furthermore, the telephone set main body 109 is provided with a main body power supply (POW) supplying a DC voltage to each circuit in the telephone set main body 109. In this case, no metallic cable connection is used between the subscriber line 102 and the telephone set main body 109, and the telephone set main body 109 is connected only to an AC power supply line 110. Thus, the telephone set main body 109 is moved freely to the location where the AC power supply line 110 is available.
