To evade the problem that a part of a core is collapsed by the movement of high-temperature molten metal and a movable mold, further, to prevent the phenomenon that it moves or floats upon the injection of molten metal or the closing of the mold, and to form a water jacket in a product at high precision.
The core 10 is stored into a mold 30 for casting comprising: a lower mold 32; a first sliding mold 34a; a second sliding mold 34b; and an upper mold 36, and forms a space in a cylinder block SB formed by the mold 30 for casting. The core 10 comprises: a plurality of first bulging parts 16 bulging toward the lower mold 32 when being stored into the mold 30 for casting; and a second bulging part 20 projecting from at least one first bulging part 16 toward the outer part among the plurality of first bulging parts. The second bulging part 20 is held by the lower mold 32, the first sliding mold 34a and the second sliding mold 34b when the mold 30 for casting is closed.
