Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core drill capable of reducing dust scattering to the outside during a boring operation even for a boring point where a wall or a projection vertical to a boring target surface is present immediately near the boring point.SOLUTION: A core drill comprises: a shaft part 1 having a shank 11 in a rear part; a blade body part 2 having a cylindrical cylinder part 21 having a base end fixed to a front part of the shaft part 1 and a cutting edge 22 arranged on a tip of the cylinder part 21; and a dust absorption adapter 4 having a mounting part 4a attached so as to be rotatable relative to the shaft part 1 through the shaft part 1, and a suction port 4b joined to the mounting part 4a and connected to a tip of a suction hose of a dust absorber. The shaft part 1 is internally provided with a dust absorption passage 15 extending backward from a front end of the shaft part 1, and a side surface of the shaft part 1 is provided with a discharge port 16 communicating with a rear end part of the dust absorption passage 15. The dust absorption adapter 4 is configured to always provide communication between the suction port 4b and the discharge port 16 of the shaft part 1 while the shaft part 1 is being rotated relative to the installation part 4a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
